Specion is import-orientated and resale-based company in laboratory equipment industry. It provides complex solutions for biochemical and pharmaceutical research, industrial applications and materials development. We provide complete care for the customer that includes installation, applications' services, support.
What are the plans for the future?
Regarding our long-term plans, we want to be the biggest microscopic company for Czech and Slovak, expanding beyond to other foreign markets.
How do you cooperate with your customers?
It is very important to have reliable relationships with our customers. We have long-term cooperations with clients, consequently they expect to have robust and transparent support. It is not possible to act slow or provide some small services, as the industry is very demanding expecting high quality in all aspects, specially in support. We are orientated on custome-based solutions, not standard ones.
Can you describe the industry's challenges?
There are couple of painful points: energy, human resources, bureaucracy and equipment related as standard tension, batteries, semi-conductors. First of all, the market is lacking technicians, not enough specialists presented. Second, the Czech market has the most expensive energy in Eastern Europe, that significantly increases the total costs. Thirdly, bureaucracy stops from smooth development of the business, making it's hard also for investors.
Why CRM is needed in your business?
If CRM saves my time, I can use this time for business development. To have the right CRM is absolutely crucial, because you need to track the whole journey of your business, from beginning up to final sales and services. All communication information must be in some 'storage' for others' to use. Good CRM can save time and enable company to be more effective in decision-making.
What was the main trigger to implement CRM solution?
By that time, it was not possible any longer to grow up with current arrangement of the company. Most of things were stored just in word or excel, each sales person had their own folders with no single structure. That is why I started looking for some solution and eventually chose Atollon for this purpose.
How Atollon helps to run the business?
Currently Atollon is very important part of our business, as we had huge changes in past 2 years: we doubled the size of the company, same with partners and turnover. It all should be managed by one central system. On top of that, Atollon helps to plan the sales, I personally use the reporting system, it helps a lot in business management.
Were there some challenges with onboarding of Atollon?
It was hard for our sales people starting to share all the information, they considered it as higher control specifically. Nevertheless, it is important to correctly communicate to your employees main reasons and benefits that platform can bring. For instance, we had no problems with new people to adapt to Atollon, they easily onboarded, while it was harder to convince our senior sales workers to transfer for new solution.
How does Atollon work?
The model is very simple. It provides us with possibility to share all the information, activities, shape potential growth for the future. For management it helps to have an overview of business with clear forecast, financing, status of the sales, and many other things.
Could you describe your work with Atollon in more details?
We can see how many leads we have, what is the timing about it, what we can expect when. Helpful is detailed information about projects, for instance you can easily evaluate the profitability. All the information is essential for financial planning of the company. If I need to prepare some report, not only for business, but also for bank or authority, I will mainly use Atollon for this purpose. Also can mention clear structure of the database where we collect all our contacts, including current customers, potential clients or past businesses.
