The Islander's Journey Part VII.: Documents

The Islander's Journey Part VII.: Documents

Atollon Article | Product news | 13/03/2011

Islanders produce a lot of content. They may write proposals, prepare draft contracts or produce valuable content. Atollon allows them to store, retrieve and share documents with other Islanders.

Security

Because the content might usually be quite sensitive, Atollon makes sure that stored documents are well protected. New document uploaded to Atollon gets the same rights as the folder, into which the document is stored. As you may know already, each client has it's own folder as well as each project and project's activity/milestone has it's own folders. Document stored on project, for example, gets the same access rights as the project itself.

Searchability

Once Islander uploads document into Atollon, Atollon Trolls try to understand the content and prepare it to be quickly searchable. Therefore Islanders don't need to take vacancy in order to find important document based on keywords they search for.

In this example we searched the proposal, in which we could find "excellent" keyword.

Categorization

Using document Type, Category & Location, Islanders may put some order into their documents and look-up documents based on these document categories. Document categories are used to separate different type of content.

Multiple documents may also be uploaded at the same time.
